Mining
At the heart of Triple R’s operations is a highly efficient method of surface mining. We specialize in mountaintop mining, which carefully removes vertical layers of subsoil and rock to access the rich mineral deposits and coal seams lying beneath West Virginia’s iconic mountains. This process allows us to meet the region’s energy demands while maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship. Sustainability
Sustainability is woven into everything we do. As part of our dual approach, we also harvest high-quality timber from the mountain slopes cleared through surface mining activities, sending it to awaiting sawmills. This allows us to maximize the use of natural resources and create a sustainable cycle of renewal.
